Where to eat in 5 de Diciembre
Six neighborhood places CINCO actually goes for seafood, late-night tacos, vegan lunch, and generous plates.

This is not a list of every restaurant in 5 de Diciembre. It is the shorter, more useful version: six places we actually go, from a long seafood lunch to tacos after dark.
From Playa Camarones, walk inland and let the neighborhood do the choosing. Most of these stops fit naturally into a day on foot; open the map link for the route from wherever you are staying.
8 Tostadas Estadio
Go for a proper seafood lunch and arrive hungry. The room is open-air, the staff are warm, and the tables fill with the kind of plates that make a quick lunch turn into the afternoon.
Our order starts with the chicharrón de pescado, then moves between the ceviche and tuna tostadas. The atún a la romada is on our list too. If lunch becomes a drink, make it a mezcalita de maracuyá.
Good to know: Our notes list noon–7 p.m., closed Tuesday, and cash only. The cash-only note and Tuesday closure appear consistently in recent listings, but confirm before going. There is no air conditioning.

Taquería Jaime
This is the dinner-and-late-night answer: street tacos, carne asada, and quesadillas when the grill is busy and the evening has nowhere else to be.
It gets crowded. A wait of around 30 minutes is normal in our experience, especially at peak time. Put in your order, take a small walk, then come back to eat there—or carry everything home.
Good to know: Our notes list 6 p.m.–3 a.m. and Sunday closed. Current listings support those hours, but late-night schedules can shift.

La Tía Ñaña
For ceviche tostadas with a little more time and a little less heat, this is the move. It works for lunch or an early dinner, and the air-conditioned dining room is welcome after the walk up from the beach.
Start with the ceviche tostadas. The seafood is the point; everything else can follow.
Needs verification: Our notes list 12:30–9 p.m., but current listings disagree about both the closing time and a possible weekly closing day. Check the map listing before you set out.

Tacón de Marlin
The name says taco; we come for the seafood burritos. Shrimp and marlin are our favorites—substantial, travel-friendly, and especially good when lunch needs to keep the rest of the day moving.
The seating area is small, so takeout is often the better plan. There is air conditioning if you find a table.
Needs verification: Our notes list 10:30 a.m.–5 p.m. and Monday closed. Tacón de Marlin has more than one Puerto Vallarta listing and published schedules conflict, so use the linked pin to confirm the branch and its hours.

Ginger Veggie
Come at lunch for the changing vegan set menu. One price usually covers three parts—a soup, salad, and main dish—plus an agua fresca. It is an affordable, complete meal rather than a collection of sides pretending to be one.
There is a vegan shop next door, which makes this an easy two-stop afternoon. The restaurant itself is open-air, without air conditioning.
Needs verification: Our notes list 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Other current listings show a shorter lunch schedule and may use the name Jengibre & Sal. Confirm the current name, service days, and hours through the map link.

Fei Long
Fei Long is for generous plates of Chinese food, good flavor, and the relief of air conditioning. It is an easy lunch when everyone wants something comforting and shareable.
When the dining room gets busy, service can slow down. Call ahead for takeout if you are short on time. For guests staying in the three CINCO apartments—not Casa de Chayo—our notes place it right next door.
Good to know: Our notes list 12:30–10 p.m.; current listings vary between noon and 12:30 for opening. Confirm the day’s hours and call-ahead availability.
